How fast can you respond to a retail HVAC emergency?

Will the unit be visible to customers on the sales floor?

It's a portable AC unit, so customers may notice it if it's in the main sales area. That said, we work with you on placement to minimize visibility — positioned near a wall, behind a display, or in a back corner where it cools the space effectively without being the first thing shoppers see. Most customers simply don't notice or don't care when the store is comfortable.

How loud is it in a retail environment?

Our units operate at around 56 dB — comparable to a standard HVAC system running. In a retail environment with ambient music, foot traffic, and register noise, this blends in completely. For very quiet boutiques or shops where background noise matters, we can discuss placement strategies that minimize perceived sound from the customer's perspective.

Can you deliver before we open or after we close?

Yes. We're flexible about delivery timing for retail customers — early morning before opening or after close is often preferable so setup doesn't intersect with customer traffic. Just let us know your hours and preferred window when you request, and we'll work with you.

What's the minimum rental period?

Our standard minimum is three days. For a retail HVAC breakdown, most repairs fall within that window. If your system gets fixed faster, you pay for what you actually used — we don't lock you into unnecessary days. Conversely, if the repair runs long, extending is easy.

Can one unit cool my entire store?

It depends on your square footage. A single 14,000 BTU unit handles up to 700 square feet effectively. For a typical small-to-mid retail space (1,500–2,000 sq ft), two or three strategically placed units work well. For larger formats, we'd scale accordingly. Tell us your square footage when you call and we'll recommend the right deployment.

Do I need to do anything to prepare before delivery?

Just confirm you have a standard 110V outlet available near where you'd like the unit placed, and clear a path for delivery. We handle all setup, including the exhaust routing. Most retail installations are complete in 20–30 minutes per unit.
